Our newest blend 'Mykla Gata' - the first coffee to kick off our 'Celebration of York' limited edition series! More about the name below, but first about the coffee....
Mykla Gata blend is a mix of our high altitude Finca Serbia El Salvador beans and our Kericho Kenyan beans.
Roasted to a medium level to accentuate those delicious caramel sweet notes, El Salvador brings the nuttiness to balance out the sweeter accents of the Kenyan profile.
A great easy drinker with tasting notes of toffee and nuts, its quickly becoming a firm favourite amongst the team!
Mykla Gata, meaning 'great street' is old Norse for Micklegate; the street in York where it all started for Divine Coffee roasters!
Home to our first brick and mortar iteration at no 42, followed later by a move to no 74, we thought we'd pay tribute to York's historic Roman and Viking heritage with this name, and celebrate historic Micklegate and it four storey gatehouse, which holds both royal significance as well as slightly gorier history if you're willing to delve deeper...!
The first time I ordered this it was fantastic; great as a flat white but surprisingly smooth and flavourful as espresso. You could really taste the toffee. However, this time it is quite a bit darker in roast. Instead of smooth and toffee taste it has an edge, which is not great as espresso. Still OK with milk, but not optimal as espresso.

Always try the new blends from Divine and this one didn't disappoint. As ever I love my breakfast coffee and this blend is well suited to all my breakfast choices.

Good taste
I bought this one for a change, for home espresso use. It tastes fine, without being special. I am not dissappointed to have tried it, and its good value, but it's probably too mild and neutral for me.

This is a very pleasant coffee, yes it's mild and tasty very pleasing.
I'm not sure why it wouldn't be a permanent offering within Divine Coffee's range.
