HONDURAN

Our Honduran coffee is grown in the the South West of the country, in one of the 6 major coffee growing regions of Honduras, known for producing coffees that contain a stone fruit and sweet caramel profile. Although Honduras is fairly small, it is know for producing a wide range of difference tasting coffees, all dependent on which region it grows in!

Our coffee is certified 'SHG' (strictly high grown) meaning the beans are grown at higher altitudes within cooler temperatures, for the coffee cherries to mature and develop their flavours at a slower rate. This helps to develop nuanced flavours that are hard to produce when the coffee matures a a faster rate in lower altitudes.

We have chosen a light/medium roast to emphasise the signature Honduran caramel tropical fruity flavour notes!

This roast profile also perfectly balances the acidity to give a smooth, clean caramel taste and texture, and a coffee that can also stand up to being a milk textured drink on an espresso machine - our shop team is currently enjoying it as a morning cortado or flat white!
